- Cut yam into cubes, boil with salt,pinch of sugar and mash..

- Add to the mashed yam. Break 1egg directly into the mixture..
- Add the sardines (without the oil)and 3tbspn of oil,salt and seasoning to taste and give it a good mix..
- Beat the remaining 2 eggs, mould mixture into small balls,.
- Coat in a beating egg and deep fry it in a very hot oil til desire colour..
- Note!!!you can substitute sardines with fresh fish,minced meat,corned beef etc... You can also coat in bread crumbs before frying for extra crispy yam balls..
- I served mind with egg stew. U can even serve with ketchup.
